Sometimes, to help solve a problem, we’ll ask you to email your save game files to support@eviltrout.com. Having your save helps us reproduce the issue and fix it.

Your saves are in the The Incident at Galley House folder. Here’s where to find it on each operating system:

Windows

Your save files are at:

%APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\The Incident at Galley House

The easiest way to get there is to press Windows + R, paste the path above, and press Enter.

The full path looks something like this, where eviltrout is your PC user name:

C:\Users\eviltrout\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\The Incident at Galley House

Mac

Your save files are at:

~/Library/Application Support/Godot/app_userdata/The Incident at Galley House

To get there, open Finder, choose Go → Go to Folder… (or press Cmd + Shift + G), paste the path above, and press Return.

The full path looks something like this, where eviltrout is your user name:

/Users/eviltrout/Library/Application Support/Godot/app_userdata/The Incident at Galley House/

Linux

Your save files are at:

~/.local/share/godot/app_userdata/The Incident at Galley House

Note that .local is a hidden folder — in most file managers you can press Ctrl + H to show hidden files, or paste the path into the location bar.

Finding your save files

Inside that folder, save games have names like 123123123-slot1.json, where 123123123 is a different number for you (your Steam ID), and slot1 could also be slot2 or slot3 depending on which save slot you used.

Sending the files

Attach the save file (or files) to your email, and include a short description of the problem. If you’re not sure which slot has your game, it’s fine to send them all.
